I ran across this, but I've never heard of this guy...
Singer-songwriter and Kill Rock Stars recording artist Jeff Hanson, 31, was found dead in his apartment on Friday, according to a report in the Minneapolis Star Tribune, and other local news sources. Hanson's body was discovered by his parents; the exact cause of death is still unknown, however, it is believed to be the result of some kind of home accident, such as a fall. Born in Milwaukee, Hanson made the Twin Cities area his home base and was a rising indie-pop songwriter with three solo albums to his name, released between 2003 and 2008. His unique falsetto caught the attention of peers such as the Decemberists, whose frontman, Colin Meloy, wrote the following tweet in response to the news: "RIP Jeff Hanson, former label and tour mate.
