Looks like there is some hostility between this forum and the people on LN, but I have to say, they did a great job at convincing Craig Montgomery to archive his soundboard recordings digitally, so they will be preserved.

I know he won't release them, but at least if the opportunity ever arises the material is there.

Maybe there's hope laugh.gif

As long as new shows and sources come along that's all that matters smile.gif.

I don't think there is any real hostility specifically directed towards SoD anymore.
They happen to surface Nirvana shows, we happen to make Nirvana shows available.

They complain that shows should never be distributed in lossy, but lossless won't play on iPods, etc.
I understand the importance of their perspective and I think they've got archiving under control just fine.
I wanna hear the shit!

Thanks for clearing it up.

Yeah same for me.And the more people get the shows available, the better it is because it actually helps preserving them.So it's all good.

Bollocks.. I always wanted to have his full soundboard from the Lamefest 89, Astoria. I guess the 2 Muddy Wiskah tracks are all i'll ever hear from it.

3 if you count that awesome intro, haha.

I agree, that concert is one of my very favorites. It should deserve it's own release.I honestly would of preferred that instead of the Portland concert, but then the Portland concert was the only concert of that era recorded by Sup Bob in multitrack so I guess that says everything.

But as live album, they should definitely consider it.At least the soundboard recording is a wav file now.If someone ever wants it, it's available. We just have to hope Geffen or whoever will ask for it.However since they already put 3 tracks of it on an official live album, I think they probably have a copy of the whole concert since 1996.That makes me hope.
